VALIS - Cold Hands ( Live Video Act )

The only way to progress is to move onwards and forward. Having taken a long break from posting, I have taken a wise decision to broaden up the musical horizons of the blog. As the time passed on, my DJ selections have taken a big leap away from the Disco genres, leading towards more complex electronica sounds. Either it'd be Synthwave, Electro, Techno it's still a dance floor orientated sound for an open minded listener. Dancing not compulsory but highly encouraged!

Su Kramer - Magic Dance (Eurovision to Hair to Studio70)

In search of ever new undiscovered underground disco tunes I came across this German gem. Was it inspired by Cat Stevens ‘Was Dog A Doughnut’, or either way around? Both tracks were recorded in the same year 1978 so we can only wonder. ‘Magic Dance‘ was originally planed to be recorded in Studio70 in Munich together with Su's label mates Kraftwerk but then has been recorded in the USA.

Kramer played the main role of Sheila in the first German musical production of ‘Hair’ in 1968. She also tried to represent Germany in the Eurovision Song Contest in 1972, but she gave place to another contestant who incidentally won the competition.

Eyeshadows - Nobody

Not quite a Disco track that you would expect from a Disco blog, but not often I get a chance to share great music produced by a friend!
It's a second release from London based Eyeshadows, a beautiful, nostalgic Slo-Mo composition, that captures inner city melancholia. Listen, share and LOVE.
